New Eye Center

CEBU, Philippines — On February 19, the University of Cebu Medical Center (UCMed) celebrated a milestone, with the inauguration of its newest health and wellness center – the UCMed Eye Center.

Located at the third level of the hospital along Ouano Ave. in Subangdaku, Mandaue City, the center is touted as a holistic eye care facility offering diagnostics and treatments of various eye-related conditions and concerns – cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma, and many others. The center’s services also covers comprehensive eye examinations and specialized procedures like corneal transplants.

With state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment equipment, the center has one operating theater for minor procedures and top-of-the-line machines for diagnosis and treatment of various retinal disorders. These machines include a TXCell Pattern Scanning Laser, a I0LMaster 700 and Cyclo G6 Micropulse Glaucoma Laser System.
