Ready for Beach or Sweat

CEBU, Philippines — While the beach is commonly associated with bright weather, a dip in seawater can compensate for the dropping temperatures in the “ber” months. Besides, even in these cold months the weather sometimes turn bright – a reason to dash out to the beach… but not without fashionable beach-ready outfit.

Cebuano homegrown brand SOLTI Activewear recently had the unveiling of its new swim and activewear line – the brand’s first collection for men.

Showcased in a DJ party-cum-fashion presentation dubbed “Beauty and the Beats,” last October 13 at the Azure Beach Club of Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan, the new collection is mainly composed of swim trunks, board shorts and overalls – each made from up-cycled fabrics.

Like its line for women, the new collection’s designs hinge on the dynamism of minimalism – a quality which brand designer Kymberly Maitland-Smith consistently renders and adheres to very well.

The unveiling of its forerunning line for men also served as the launch of the brand’s new resort and swimwear line, which interestingly a significant degree of luxe not quite common with locally-made resort, active and swimwear ensembles.
