Alexa, Gab serve light-hearted romance in ‘Init sa Magdamag’

Their cat-and-mouse game could soon turn into romance as Kiko (Gab Lagman) and Hannah (Alexa Ilacad) have finally realized they are slowly falling for each other in Book 2 of the hit ABS-CBN teleserye “Init Sa Magdamag.”

In a Zoom conference Monday, Gab and Alexa shared they became close during their lock-in taping for the series. Gab said Alexa is a good actress and is genuinely nice to everybody on set. On the other hand, Alexa described Gab as very patient and willing to learn.

“I would want to give my best because I can see that Gab is also doing his best,” added Alexa.

While “Init sa Magdamag” is their first project as a love team, Gab and Alexa are looking forward to doing more projects in the future still as a tandem. One thing they discovered about each other is their shared love for food. They both like tapsilog and mango shake.

Alexa said she likes Hannah because of her good values. Hannah cares for Kiko but Alexa couldn’t say much because she might give spoilers.

This is only the second teleserye of Gab and he embraced his character like a pro. “Kiko is very different from my personality. But I accepted the challenge. There were scenes that I thought I won’t be able to do properly but with the help of our directors, I was able to do quite well,” said the Kapamilya heartthrob.

It is Hannah and Kiko who provide the kilig factor in the series. Both stars are happy that the audience has noticed their unmistakable chemistry.

“I am very pleased with how our scenes turned out. Acting-wise, I think Gab and I are doing very well. We are in good hands and we are happy that the audience enjoy watching us,” said Alexa.

Alexa and Gab have developed a certain closeness that even if they don’t talk to each other often, they are still very much comfortable with the other.

Gab said he and Alexa already had a connection even on their first day of taping. “Walang uneasy moment sa aming dalawa kahit na first day of work. Pwede na ako mag-joke in her presence. Na-break agad ang ice.”

In the series, Kiko’s feelings changed after seeing how Hannah cared for the people of the barrio they helped during her stint at the foundation. He has shown deep concern for Hannah when she would get drunk because of her unhealthy relationship with her brother, Tupe (Gerald Anderson).

Hannah also began showing fondness for Kiko especially after he helped her in building her new studio. Will love finally blossom between them?
