KimJe displays perfect chemistry in ‘Ang Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam’

For director Darryl Yap, the public gets more curious to watch his movies because of the social media bashing he receives.

“When people say something about my film, whether negative or positive, that makes it a conversation piece and makes people more interested about it,” said the controversial director of “Tililing” and “Gusto Kong Maging Porn Star.”

Direk Darryl added that controversy adds more publicity mileage. Most of his film trailers immediately attract attention because of it.

If you recall, Sharon Cuneta’s fans had an ambivalent reaction upon learning that the Megastar was set to do a film project with him, with Viva hunk Marco Gumabao as leading man. Since some of Sharon’s fans are not exactly admirers of Direk Darryl’s films, they were afraid that their idol might have made the wrong decision of accepting the movie “Revirginized.”

But Sharon assured her fans that while “Revirginized” may be different from her previous films, they will not get shocked when they watch this.

Because of the amazing box-office success of “Jowable,” Viva Films decided to have a reunion movie for Direk Darryl and Kim Molina, whom the director also manages.

The movie is titled “Ang Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam” and based on Direk Darryl’s research, there is this medical condition called Congenital Insensitivity to Pain. The character Tasha (Kim) has this condition and this makes her incapable of feeling pain – be it physical or emotional.

Because of her condition, she has no idea how love works. Until she meets Ngongo (Jerald Napoles), a man with a cleft palate. Ngongo becomes an instrument who makes Tasha feel again, especially the joys of love and pains of heartache. Together, they experience an adventure they will never forget.

Kim never thought that such a condition existed. She admitted being challenged by the role since it was hard to act without showing any emotion, but she had to make people understand what she was feeling. “It’s hard to react to certain situations when you are supposed to not feel anything,” said Kim.

Direk Darryl said Kim and Jerald have perfect chemistry in the movie and they fit their roles to a T. Kim and Jerald say they are not feeling pressure with the movie’s upcoming release since they believe in the material. This is their first project together but they are confident that netizens will watch “Ang Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam,” which will begin streaming June 11 on Vivamax and KTX.ph.

They also didn’t need to undergo any major adjustment while doing the movie. They just needed to focus on the task at hand. When it comes to personal matters, they have their own time for it. So there is no conflict on the set for Kim and Jerald. But they have their own level of kilig in “Ang Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam.”

“We just do our job as actors. Filming was a breeze,” said Jerald.

Having individual projects with other actors don’t get in the way of their relationship. They respect each other’s space when it comes to work. Whatever they do as actors is just part of the job. And they are likewise happy with the way their careers are moving.
