CEBU, Philippines — Newly released photos of Miss Universe Philippines national director Shamcey Supsup-Lee and her inaugural title-holder Rabiya Mateo had netizens gushing how the two beauties look so much like sisters. In an accompanying caption, Shamcey, who she will soon reunite with Rabiya in Miami, Florida, wrote words of praise and encouragement for our delegate.
“You continually surprise us with your tenacity and drive to be better everyday. All your hard work and sacrifices have led you to the Miss Universe competition and I am confident that you will continue to make us proud. Just remember that you are already a winner no matter what,” the Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up wrote on social media, as she also thanked Filipino fans for the overwhelming support. “Para sa inyo ang laban na ‘to!”
