Anne Curtis still as sought-after as ever

Anne Curtis’ career is doing great. She had two box-office hits last year: the romance drama “Sid & Aya” which paired her with Dingdong Dantes, and the gut-wrenching flick “BuyBust” directed by Erik Matti.

These two projects gave Anne twin nominations to the forthcoming Gawad Urian. It’s hard to get an Urian nomination because the critics’ group has a strict criteria. Urian members are hard to please and to get a nomination is like winning the award as well.

Anne is also a sought-after product endorser. She couldn’t help but wow the crowd at the recent unveiling of Belo’s latest and most advanced machine in the wonderful world of aesthetic beauty, the Thermage FLX, of which the actress was also launched recently as its official ambassador at the Shangrila in The Fort, Bonifacio Global City.

Anne sashayed across the stage showcasing a more beautiful and youthful look – tighter and younger-looking skin, more pronounced jawline and neck, and a more contoured face. She happily announced how pleased she was to have taken Dra. Vicki Belo’s word for it and tried Thermage FLX, the non-invasive treatment that helped lift her skin and added glow to it.

“I have been a Belo baby ever since I can remember. I started consulting with Dra. Belo back when my skin problem was still acne. So it is but natural for me to go to her now that I am over 30. Fresh from his back-to-back TEDx stints in Malaysia, Celebrity Life Coach Myke Celis resurfaced in TEDxCUHK in Hong Kong as part of its roster of speakers last April 6.

“I still can’t believe that I was chosen this year. For those who know me, they know that I love going to Hong Kong so much so this is just a dream come true.”

How was the entire TEDxCUHK experience? “Life-changing,” said Myke. “Biggest TEDx crowd I had so far – over 500 people who were waiting to be inspired. I just gave it my all. And based on their reactions after and the reposts I saw on social media, I guess I lived my purpose. Icing on the cake was that a few days after, my co-speaker, Innocent Mutanga, messaged me on Facebook and told me that my talk was the favorite among the afternoon/evening sessions according to the organizers. I wanted to jump for joy and cry out of gratefulness. It’s a different feeling when you get to inspire people of different races because boundaries are broken. I am just honored and grateful.”

It didn’t end there. Myke had to fly right back to Manila on April 8 to take part in TEDxYouthLucena City. And he enjoyed the experience immensely.

In between his talks and hosting stints in multimedia and radio, Myke is busy with his #bestmeever Self-Actualization and Personal Breakthrough Program which happened on May 3.
