Talent manager, comedian and radio host Ogie Diaz was mobbed when he visited Zambales last week to personally campaign for Zambales vice gubernatorial candidate Jay Khonghun, the boyfriend of his friend, Aiko Melendez.

Ogie vouched for the sincerity of Jay in case he wins the post of vice governor. As a three-term mayor of Subic, he was responsible for the progress that Subic is enjoying now.

Congressman Jeff Khonghun was likewise endorsed by Ogie and for that, Aiko is very grateful.

“Mader Ogie’s personal endorsement is a big thing due to his credibility. We are likewise thankful that no matter the intrigues being thrown our way, we continue to receive reports that Jay is rating high in the independent local surveys,” said Aiko.

The bashers of Vice Mayor Jay did not spare Aiko from negative issues but the actress is not bothered because she knows she did not do anything wrong.

Chuckie Antonio, the good-looking candidate for the third District of Quezon City, had a crush on Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu. He had been a fan of the chinita actress since he saw her compete in “Pinoy Big Brother.” He also took time to watch the very first teleserye that Kim participated in.

Chuckie, who is handsome enough to be in showbiz, has been involved in politics since he was 18 years old when he ran and won as a barangay captain. He has completed a full term and it’s now time set his eyes on being a city councilor.

He started his campaign by going to the barangays to know the problems of people in his district. He learned that these were health, education and employment and it has become his advocacy in his quest for a seat in the city council.

Even though he is running as an independent candidate, his base has grown during the campaign. And he is really focused on the issues that he wants to address in case he wins.

Chuckie was also able to make use of social media to reach out to the young voters in his district.

When Chuckie ran and won as barangay kagawad, he was the youngest candidate. Now that he is running as councilor, he is also the youngest in his batch. But he has proven himself effective in fulfilling his tasks. And this is what he intends to do if and when he wins a seat in the city council of Quezon City’s third district.

Chuckie, who just turned 27 last April 16, is also not closing his doors on the possibility of being in showbiz. He welcomes every opportunity to better himself as a person and as a public servant.
