Xian Lim is hopeful that moviegoers will enjoy his latest movie “Hanggang Kailan,” which co-stars him with Louise Delos Reyes. The film, directed by Bona Fajardo, was shot in Japan.

First of all, what makes the film different is that there are only two characters, talking about their relationship. Xian said he found the script interesting and he believes the audience might find it interesting as well.

“This is one of the most challenging roles I’ve done. The fact that there are only two actors in the film added to the challenge. But I really hope the audience will find the movie to their liking,” he said.

He is likewise looking forward to doing a new teleserye this 2019. Last year was a bit slow for Xian in terms of projects but now that he has signed up with Viva, he is confident that more will be in the offing.

He is also excited about his directorial project for Cinemalaya 2019. Xian joined the scriptwriting workshop of Ricky Lee (he was part of Batch 17) and from there, he started writing a script which he submitted to Cinemalaya. Imagine his surprise when it was accepted.

“I won’t reveal yet who will play the lead role but it’s going to be a thriller. It is an honor for me to have a film entry in Cinemalaya. I can say that this is one significant thing that has happened in my career,” the actor said.

“I am just a neophyte director and it feels surreal to see myself amongst the most talented film directors joining the prestigious indie festival.”

Ice Seguerra is one of the featured artists in “Playlist: The Best of OPM,” to be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on March 1. This is a production of Viva Live and is presented by ScratchIt!

Ice is excited since he is working for the first time with fellow iconic singers Joey Generoso, Jay Durias, Meds Marfil, Juris Fernandez, Jinky Vidal and Janine Teñoso of the big hit “Di Na Muli.”

At the concert’s recent media launch, Ice said that she became inactive in his career when he worked in the government. When he quit the job, he seemed to have lost his will to perform. Now, slowly but surely, he is starting to get the groove back.

The singer noted that there are many changes in the musical landscape and this has inspired him to work on new projects. He is also contemplating on composing new songs or collaborating with other artists either as a singer or album producer.

Tickets to the “Playlist: The Best of OPM” are available via TicketNet (911-5555) at www.ticketnet.com.ph. Ticket prices are VIP (P3,000), Patron B (P2450), Box Premium (P1800), Box Regular (P1250), Upper Box (P525) and General Admission (P270).

At the press conference of Ogie Alcasid for his Valentine concert titled “Master of Love” set at the  Newport Entertainment Center of Resorts World Manila on February 14, he was asked if he is interested to enter politics.

“I don’t think I am cut for the job of a politician besides na wala naman akong balak pumasok sa politika,” said the famed singer-songwriter. “I can be of help in any way without running for an elective post.”

He was formerly president of the Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM) and while he enjoyed the stint, he felt it’s about time to give other singers the chance to lead the organization.

Ogie is happy to be working with Maestro Ryan Cayabyab, the newly minted National Artist for Music.

“It doesn’t happen every day that you get to work with the Maestro. It’s a great pleasure to be sharing the stage with him. It’s a big honor,” he said.

Joining him in the concert are Mariel De Leon and Lara Maigue.
