Aga Muhlach returns to his leading man roots

Aga Muhlach returns to being the romantic lead in a love story via the movie “First Love” where he teams up for the first time with Bea Alonzo. This is the first romance movie of Aga in eight years.

Last year, Aga did the family movie “Seven Sundays” for Star Cinema. Aga’s performance in the said film gave him two Best Actor awards: the Eddys from the SPEED (Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors) and the Luna Awards from the Film Academy of the Philippines.

At the media conference of “First Love” held at the Dolphy Theater on Monday, Aga said his role as Nick in the film is very different from his past roles and he is very excited to show it to the audience.

What adds to Aga’s excitement was the chance to work with Bea, so with director Paul Soriano. When Direk Paul pitched to him the project and learned that he wants Bea to be his partner, Aga told Direk Paul he is going to call Bea and ask her to accept the film project.

The actor does only one movie a year as he is very choosy with scripts. So when he told Bea about “First Love,” he also told her that he won’t do the film if Bea would not accept the project.

And since Bea would not pass on a chance to work with Aga, the actress told him she was accepting the movie.

Aga also told the press that “First Love” is one of the best films he has done in his career since it presents a different kind of love story.

He’s encouraging everyone to watch “First Love” when it opens in cinemas on October 17.

An award-winning actor was asked if he would be willing to do frontal nudity for a film. Since he is open to doing challenges in the movies that he makes, he was asked if he would be willing to do such a risqué scene.

“I guess if the role is really good but for now, I can’t really say if I would be willing to drop my pants and go au naturel even for an important movie,” said the actor.

“Such thought hasn’t really crossed my mind but if nudity is truly vital to my character, I might do it depending on how well my director can convince me. But for now, I am not yet willing to share my nakedness to everybody. If the right time comes and when I am ready,” said the actor.

Derrick Monasterio and Sanya Lopez are bringing their acting skills a notch higher as each of them embrace a more mature and sexier image in the upcoming sexy-romance film, “Wild and Free,” under Regal Entertainment, Inc.

The two Kapuso actors are shedding off their wholesome image in this film project in which they are required to do “wild” love scenes.

Sanya prepared even before they had their first intimate scene inside the car.

“Hinanda ko na ang sarili ko dito. Gustong gusto ko yung natututo ako and nagi-improve” she relates.

That broke the ice and Sanya is now more comfortable with Derrick, and she has no more qualms discussing or doing intimate scenes with him.

“Okay ako kay Derrick kahit anong gawin at pag-usapan namin. Kahit dirty talks I can discuss with him because we are both naughty, we are both wild and free. Matagal na kaming magkakilala at mas nagkakilala pa kami.”

The two actors made it a point that they lived up to their movie’s title.

Derrick describes their love scenes together as “realistic.”

“Makikita ninyo sa mga eksena namin sa movie, the love-making scenes are so sexy. I think nagawa namin ‘yun together ng maganda,” the actor said.

In one intimate scene, the two had to do it on top of a washing machine.

“Hindi ko ma-imagine that normal people do that, tapos ‘yung sa car scene marami daw naka-relate,” Sanya quipped.

Derrick is just happy to act opposite Sanya in their first daring roles ever.

“Sanya has a sexy character, has seductive eyes and is alluring. Tempting talaga because she has a very pretty face and sexy body,” he beamed.

“Syempre tayong mga lalaki, tinitingnan natin yan. Naaakit tayo sa physical, then susunod na yung character. Na-attract talaga ako. Hindi na ako nahirapan na gawin sa kanya yung mga eksena, kasi nadala ako sa sexy scenes namin.”
