5 Aquino children talk about Ninoy’s life, legacy in GMA News TV’s “Ako si Ninoy”

CEBU, Philippines - In one rare occasion, all five Aquino children - President Noynoy Aquino, Ballsy, Pinky, Viel and Kris - recount their most memorable and fondest memories of their father, the late Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., and his role in the events that shaped our nation’s history.

Pinky shares the family’s ordeal during the seven years that Ninoy was incarcerated during Martial Law.

Ballsy remembers how his dad shared his moments of suffering to her.

Viel tells stories of their years in exile in the United States when their dad used to drive them to a basketball game.

Kris talks about how her father also spent quality time with her in Boston and how his dad told her that she is going to be a star someday.

And President Noynoy, Ninoy’s namesake and only son, reveals how he once contemplated revenge on people responsible for his family’s sufferings.

While they knew that the country occupied a significant part in their father’s heart, the Aquino siblings say Ninoy also did his best to be a good father to them at the same time.

These and much more will be revealed in a rare sit-down interview with all of the Aquino children.

Threading together these personal accounts about the man who offered his life to his country are selected poetry, essays and letters of Ninoy as narrated by actor Dingdong Dantes.

Don’t miss “Ako si Ninoy” airing tonight, August 24, 9:45pm only on GMA News TV, the country’s number one News Channel. (FREEMAN)
