MPIC healthcare app teams up with two insurance firms

CEBU, Philippines —  Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC), through its healthcare app mWell PH, teams up with two of the insurance companies, PhilCare and Generali, allowing app users to purchase insurance products directly from the app.

According to Chaye Cabal-Revilla, Chief Finance, Risk and Sustainability Officer of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation, the partnership is a testament to mWell’s commitment to respond to the healthcare needs of every Filpino.

“We are honored to work with two key players in the insurance market. Aside from providing 24/7 online doctor consultation via the mWell app, this partnership will allow us to offer the assistance and life protection needed by mWell users and their families,” Revilla said.

MPIC President, Chairman and CEO, Manny V. Pangilinan recognizes the importance of strategic partnerships in bringing healthcare closer to Filipinos nationwide via MPIC group’s digital platform.

“mWell is committed to provide online healthcare solutions through a wide network of medical experts and services. 

Users may consult with doctors online, select health and wellness programs, and conveniently access healthcare products, empowering them to be in control of their health with just one app,” Pangilinan added.

The new and improved mWell Healthsavers Plan, which offers two check-ups for only P399, now comes with free accident insurance from Generali worth P20,000. The fully loaded plan also includes free e-prescription, medical certificate, or doctor referral. Booking fee is waived for mWell’s best value deal.

Healthsavers Plan may also be sent as a gift to friends and loved ones, allowing app users to share the gift of good health.

With the partnerships, mWell users can easily purchase Generali and PhilCare products at the e-shop.

As part of the MPIC Group, mWell is committed to work towards the achievement of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being. It also supports the MVP Group’s Gabay Kalusugan advocacy focusing on quality and affordable healthcare. On National mWellness Day, August 27 and 28, mWell will provide free online doctor consultation via the mWell app.
