CEB’s reinforced marketing campaign followed after the IATF released a new set of simplified requirements for domestic travel which states that travel authorities and health certificates will no longer be needed.

CEBU, Philippines — Cebu Pacific (CEB) vows to partner with more resorts and hotels around the country to offer attractive packages in a desperate move to aid the struggling tourism industry in the Philippines.

In a virtual round table press conference held recently, CEB Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience Candice Iyog said the airline company is intensifying its initiative to boost domestic tourism, and offering affordable and attractive vacation and leisure packages with resorts and hotels on destinations where the airline is flying could be a great help for the industry.

“We are [strongly] promoting leisure routes and we are partnering with hotels and resorts,” Iyog said.

This reinforced marketing campaign followed after the IATF released a new set of simplified requirements for domestic travel which states that travel authorities and health certificates will no longer be needed. Quarantine protocols will also be only required for those showing symptoms.

While this spells good prospects ahead, Iyog said this should be complemented with active support from the stakeholders, particularly air travel companies and accommodation facilities.

“We need to work together. Recovery is in sight for us,” she expressed optimism.

Heeding the call of the government through the Department of Tourism (DOT) to boost domestic travel, CEB has also introduced a series of “Piso sale” promotions to entice Filipinos to travel within the Philippines and contribute to the tourism recovery.

Last March 3 to 5, 2021, CEB opened seat sale for as low as P1 base fare. With this special #CEBSuperSeatFest on its anniversary month, passengers can travel to their favorite places from June 01 to December 31, 2021.

This gives those itching to go back to their favorite beach destinations such as Cebu, Puerto Princesa, Bohol, Boracay, Coron and Siargao, the chance to book and fly affordably and conveniently.

“Recent surveys show a lot of us are looking forward to traveling again, and we are very excited to welcome travelers on board, especially now that requirements for domestic travel are starting to ease. We continue to do what we can to boost passenger confidence and spur travel, for #MoreSmilesAhead,” she added.

CEB pioneered the PISO sale in 2004 to further democratize travel and offer low-value and great service to its passengers. As it celebrates its 25th anniversary, the carrier aims to give back to everyJuan who have been instrumental in its growth story.

In these most challenging times, the airline company plans to offer series of seat sales for the rest of the year and beyond—just like the old normal.

CEB also recently announced the removal of change fees to provide passengers with more flexibility and unlimited rebooking in order to encourage travel and support tourism.
