Chamber Beat: CCCI launches ICT training for solo mothers, Tax Talks

CEBU, Philippines —   The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with the New Zealand Embassy, on November 23 kicked started the first day of the virtual ICT Training for 23 Solo Mothers in the City of Naga, Cebu.

Gracing the opening program are Ambassador of New Zealand Embassy Manila His Excellency Peter Keller, CCCI President Felix Taguiam, together with VP for Membership Benny Que, VP for Business Development Jay Yuvallos and Executive Director May Elizabeth Ybanez, CCCI City of Naga Chapter President Herbert Camasura, DICT Visayas Cluster 2 Director Frederick DC. Amores and Resource Speakers Ms. Claire Fernandez and Engr. Royden Rusiana.

The objective of the training is to improve the capabilities of the solo mothers, who are currently unemployed or financially unstable, to be technologically equipped, especially in terms of virtual assistance and social media marketing.

CCCI Tax Talks

CCCI, in partnership with the Office of the City Mayor, conducted the CCCI Tax Talks: Cebu City Tax Amnesty Explained, a webinar that aimed to increase the CCCI membercompanies’ awareness on the Tax Amnesty Ordinance of 2019 and encouraging them to avail of the program before its deadline.

The webinar featured as resource speaker Special Officer of the Mayor for Finance and Treasury Atty. Jerone G. Castillo who explained the salient features of the ordinance and its process for availment.
