CEBU, Philippines —  Cebuano-owned Parklane Hotels and Resorts pursues the opening of its three-hectare resort property in Anda, Bohol this coming November, despite the uncertainties.

In an interview with Cebu Parklane International Hotel general manager Cenelyn Manguilimotan, she said that the management has decided to soft open the resort based on its original schedule on November 2020, banking on the rising local tourists going out to relax and take some luxurious vacations.

“We foresee an increasing demand for resort accommodations from local tourists,” explained Manguilimotan.

The hotel chain is one of the few tourism-related developers, which conquered the threat of uncertainties, stepping forward to contribute economic movement after the long season of lockdown.

The Parklane Resort in Anda, Bohol is a three-hectare property that will be built in phases.

Its aesthetics is inspired by the Garden by the Bay in Singapore.

It will set up a glamping (glamor camping) facility, which now coincides under the new normal trend, which prefers outdoor activities.

The first phase of the project, now 70 percent completed, will offer four luxurious villas with eight rooms per villa, and six individual villa with own garden.

According to Manguilimotan, hotel guests in its Cebu Parklane International Hotel is starting to move up, although “very slowly.”

What sustains the business though, she added is its food delivery, and events.

Some rooms are sold to balikbayans and event bookers’ room requirements.

Slowly, Parklane is gaining business in small intimate events like weddings, debut and business related meetings.
