Chamber Beat: CCCI on COVID-19 prevention

CEBU, Philippines —  The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry is ferventlyreminding the public to protect themselves and the people around them against COVID-19 by knowing the facts. At this time, there is still no cure for COVID-19 therefore necessary precautions are encouraged to be observed.

STAY home and self-isolate even with minor symptoms such as cough, headache, mild fever, until you recover. Avoiding contact with others will protect them from possible COVID-19 and other viruses.

KEEP at least 6- feet distance between yourself and others. Standing too close to other people might increase the risk of breathing in small droplets originating from them that might contain the virus.

WASH your hands regularly and thoroughly with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water. Washing your hands with soap and water or using alcohol-based hand rub kills viruses that may be on your hands.

COVER mouth and nose with mask. Droplets spread the virus thus by following good respiratory hygiene, you protect the people around you from viruses such as cold, flu and COVID-19.

Observing these few precautions now is the best defense in preventing and avoiding illness from the virus. Be informed and stay vigilant.
