CCCI: Bayanihan in the time of COVID-19

CEBU, Philippines —  With the dramatic widespread of COVID-19 that continues to disrupt lives, livelihoods, communities and businesses, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industrytogether with some organizations and businesses in Cebu have joined forces to complement the efforts of the Governmentto minimize the impact of COVID-19 in the community.

Following the launch of the Solidarity Response Fund and other chamber initiatives, Cebu-based clothiers - Charles Calunod, Edwin Ao, Camp Red Survival Gear, Inc., Joan Chongbian, ATE by Tatah, Interior Crafts of the Islands, Inc., GMO Collections, and Rite Apparel - and the CCCI have collaborated in the production of personal protective equipment (PPE) for the frontliners,

A total of 382 PPEs were already distributed, some of which were given to Chong Hua Hospital, Perpetual Succour Hospital, Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, Allegiant Regional Care Hospital and Mendero Hospital.

Moreover,the CCCI was able to turn over more than 2000 food packs to be distributed to families affected throughout the city. Similarly, the CCCI Chamber Chapters were also given boxes of germicidal soaps for distribution
