Pag-IBIG to go online this year

CEBU, Philippines — Members of Pag-IBIG Fund will be able to transact online starting this year as the fund targets to launch its online portal.

Originally scheduled to go online last year, Pag-IBIG Fund chief executive officer (CEO) Acmad Rizaldy Moti said the roll-out delay is due to some adjustments in the program, which will cover expansive services.

The housing loan application for instance can already be done online, “it’s an ‘all in’ online service for the members,” he said.

Initially, Pag-IBIG’s online portal was designed only to accept online scheduling or appointment, but with the improved program Moti said everything like IDs, proof of income, among other documents can be processed online already.

Once rolled out, members will no longer have to go physically to Pag-IBIG office or line up in a long queue,” Moti said.

“At present, we are just perfecting the system” he explained in an interview and also apologized to the agency’s members for delay of its online service implementation.

Taking advantage of the online platform is part of the bigger reform the agency will undertake.

Pag-IBIG has 14 million members across the country.
