CEBU, Philippines —  Smart Communications (Smart) has started its full entry to the supermarket sphere for its e-Load offering, following its partnership with Cebu-based Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc. (MRSGI).

Under this agreement, Smart, TNT, and Sun subscribers will now be able to avail of the network’s e-Load products at the checkout counters of Metro Supermarket, which currently has 28 branches in the Visayas, Metro Manila, and the rest of Luzon.

“This partnership is very important to us because we at Metro are very excited about providing good customer experience. Giving our clients the opportunity to load their Smart mobile phones through our point-of-sale terminals adds to that unique and convenient shopping experience that we always want to provide our customers.” said Jonathan Juan Moreno, Chief Strategy and Governance Officer at MRSGI.

Recently, Smart Communications (Smart) launched the service at the Metro Supermarket Market! Market! in Bonifacio Global City.

According to Moreno, this is in line with the partnership roadmap of Smart and MRSGI which aims to offer quality products and services to more Filipinos in the country.

“I am pleased with this continued partnership of Smart with Metro Retail as we launch our e-Load products in the supermarket. This is a testament of our commitment to provide simple, caring, and epic services to our subscribers, even as they do their grocery shopping at Metro Supermarket,” said Precy Katigbak, Vice President and Head of National Key Accounts at Smart.

Smart and MRSGI have forged their partnership in 2017. As a result, Smart, TNT, and Sun prepaid cards, as well as SIM packs and Smart Bro devices became available in customer service areas of Metro Retail Stores.

According to Smart, this is the latest in a series of partnerships made by Smart to widen its reach and make its services more accessible to its millions of subscribers.
