CBM 2019 to showcase Cebu’s innovative edge

CEBU, Philippines —  As an offshoot from this year’s theme “Innovate Cebu,” the Cebu Business Month (CBM 2019) levels up to support the innovators here.

Organized by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), the 23rd CBM next year, will emphasize Cebu’s wealth in innovation, and it will also showcase Cebu’s innovative success stories.  To be chaired by marketing guru Lilu Aliño, the month-long even happening every June in Cebu, the CBM 2019 will carry the theme “Innovation in Action.”

“Beyond inspiring people to embrace innovations, it’s high time for Cebu to drive innovation and bring in its benefits,” said Aliño.

According to Aliño, CBM 2019 promises bolder, brighter events. What is exciting she added is the participation of more international players to various events and exhibitions.

CBM 2018, which was held last June, attempted to flaunt Cebu as the innovation powerhouse.

Next year, Aliño said actions will be introduced to maximize the innovative wealth of Cebu, including already the strengthened partnership with Kapatid Mentor Me (KMME) program of Department of Trade and Industry and the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship -Go Negosyo.

In tourism, Aliño said CBM’s tourism signature event the “Lumba’g Laag” will showcase the hidden treasures of the northern corridor of Cebu.

Also, the CBM 2019 will launch the first Coffee Table book that features success stories of innovations in Cebu, with the help of Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
