Davao to roll out booster shots for health workers

Edith R. Regalado - The Philippine Star

DAVAO CITY, Philippines– The city government here will start the rollout of COVID-19 vaccine booster shots for its healthcare workers.

The Davao City Vaccination Cluster said 57,410 healthcare workers have been fully vaccinated while 62,165 have received their first dose as of Nov. 11.

City COVID-19 task force spokesperson Michelle Schlosser said there is no definite date when the booster shots will be administered, but it would be ”as soon as possible.”

“If we can make it this week, we will. We’re having some challenges when it comes to logistics, but we are hoping that we can roll it out as early as next week,” Schlosser said.

The initial rollout of booster shots for fully vaccinated health care workers was held last Wednesday.

Schlosser said they have received the operational guidelines on administering booster shots.
