MANILA, Philippines - In an effort to address the different demands of Filipino consumers who use all three carriers, Cherry Mobile has unveiled its first triple-SIM handset, the Trident.

With the current popularity of unlimited texting-and-calling promos, the Trident provides the answer to all the hassle and extra cost of maintaining three phones for three SIM cards at once.

The Trident’s sleek, glossy black finish and full suite of advanced features makes it perfect for those who want a certain level of professionalism together with triple SIM convenience in their phones.

“Cherry Mobile offer its Trident Triple-SIM phone which gives seamless connectivity over three different networks without compromising other advanced and basic features that caters to different consumer lifestyles,” said Cherry Mobile marketing head Agnes Conopio.

Trident offers various features and applications that make the handset an appealing option for both business and personal applications.

For the business professional, the P6,490 Trident features a Qwerty keypad and Wi-Fi/GPRS connectivity for Web surfing as well as e-mail sending and receiving capabilities.

A document viewer allows the user to view files in Word and Excel while the Google Maps can be used as a reference guide in locating various places.

Younger cellphone users and home-based users, on the other hand, will enjoy a number of entertaining multimedia features, including a music and video player and an FM radio. The Trident is also a TV phone that even allows the user to record their favorite television shows and save the videos on a microSD card.

Other special features include a two-megapixel camera with video calling and an E-buddy chat function that allows the users to connect to their friends through Yahoo Messenger and Facebook chat.

The Trident’s touchpad allows easier navigation while a G-sensor allows users to change the screen orientation from portrait to landscape by tilting the phone.

The dual-SIM Qwerty keypad-equipped Cherry Mobile Q5i, meanwhile, is equipped with a Wolfson Audio chipset — which has also been used in iPods — for crisp, clear and punchy sound. The 3.5-mm headphone jack allows users to listen with their choice of headphones or speakers for a truly superb listening experience.

“I love the sound of the Q5i — with my packed schedule, it really helps when I can sit back and enjoy my favorite tunes whenever I want to with fantastic sound quality,” enthused the multi-award winning actor John Lloyd. “The Wolfson Audio chipset of Cherry Mobile Q5i makes listening to music with clarity and crisp.”

The Q5i also has an FM radio, video recorder, and dual microSD slots, each of which can read up to 4GB memory cards.

Cherry Mobile’s Q5i also features a touchpad navigator that makes it easier to navigate through entire phone files and applications.

“With the Cherry Mobile Q5i, owning a high-quality music phone need not be expensive. And like all Cherry Mobile handsets, the Q5i comes at a very affordable price, P3,490,” said Cherry Mobile’s Conopio.

Cherry Mobile’s newest music phone Q5i comes in black with silver detail, cool blue, red, and funky yellow.

Last but not least is the X90 Blush, a new dual-SIM handset for the trendy female embodied by one of the most sought-after young actresses, Kim Chiu.

The compact handset features a glossy façade with a touch-screen display. “The X90 Blush blends into my kikay kit easily with its chic swiveling slider design; for me, the X90 Blush is not only a mobile phone, it’s a fashion statement,” Chiu said.

The P6,490 X90 Blush also sports a variety of features that on-the-go ladies should find very useful. It has a two-megapixel camera to capture those “glam shots,” music player, FM radio, and memory expandable up to 2GB via microSD card.

The young actress noted how the X90 Blush help keeps her fit with its proprietary Body Mass Index Calculator software. The application for health- and figure-conscious ladies calculates overall body mass by analyzing height and weight. “This app helps me keep track of my overall wellness and tells me if I am underweight, normal or overweight,” said Chiu.

The Menstrual Center software, on the other hand, charts a user’s entire menstrual cycle, including possible fertile periods, simply by typing her last day of menstrual bleeding and the average number of menstrual cycle days.

The X90 Blush comes in baby pink, classy white, and sassy purple.

Cherry Mobile phones are distributed by Cosmic Technologies Inc. and are available in all Cherry Mobile Concept Stores, kiosks and dealers nationwide.
