DDMP finally declares its Q4 dividend
DDMPR was the last of the PSE’s REITs to declare its Q4 dividend, and I’m sure shareholders will be relieved to see that the delay in its declaration doesn’t appear to be due to any behind-the-scenes problems related to revenue.

DDMP [DDMPR 1.42 1.39%] [link], the REIT from Injap Sia’s DoubleDragon [DD 7.91 3.65%], declared a Q4/21 dividend of P0.0278140/share, payable on May 31 for shareholders of record on May 19.

The amount of the dividend, annualized, provides an estimated yield of 7.83% relative to yesterday’s closing price, and an estimated yield of 4.94% relative to DDMPR’s IPO price of P2.25/share.

The size of the dividend is 36% larger on a year-on-year basis, easily surpassing DDMPR’s Q4/20 dividend, but is about 0.6% smaller than its Q3/21 dividend on a quarter-on-quarter basis.

MB BOTTOM-LINE

The “when DDMPR dividend?” meme was starting to lose its punch, so I’m happy that we’re finally able to cross the “DDMPR Q4 div” off our 2022 bingo cards.

DDMPR was the last of the PSE’s REITs to declare its Q4 dividend, and I’m sure shareholders will be relieved to see that the delay in its declaration doesn’t appear to be due to any behind-the-scenes problems related to revenue.

While the Q4 div is marginally smaller than the Q3 div, it’s comparable to what Filinvest REIT [FILRT 7.32 0.41%] and MREIT [MREIT 17.52 0.11%] put out in Q4 in terms of its size relative to its Q3 dividend, though that’s probably cold comfort to those investors that are still sitting 37% underwater relative to DDMPR’s P2.25/share IPO price.

Perhaps 2022 will be the year that the dragon wakes up to continue monetizing DD properties through DDMPR for everyone’s benefit.
