MANILA, Philippines — The Isuzu Crosswind, without doubt, is one of the most reliable and flexible multipurpose vehicles in the country. It works hard and performs well while adapting to different needs and lasting for many years, thus earning the patronage of countless Filipinos.

In the looks department, the Crosswind won’t be left out, especially with the newly unveiled Black Series. This limited edition is created out of Filipinos’ fondness for upgrades on their tried, tested and trusted Crosswind.

“With the success of the Isuzu Crosswind XT Urban Edition, the market is looking for another limited edition for the other Isuzu Crosswind variants. The inspiration came from its brother, the Isuzu mu-X Black Series, thus having the same name,” said Isuzu Philippines Corporation in a statement.

There’s one thing we can say, the Isuzu Crosswind Black Series is a stunner. We have the photos to show it:

Sleek and black

Isuzu knows just the right places to redesign in black for sleek accents.

The carmaker begins where it’s immediately obvious, as if the Crosswind is not noticeable enough. Getting a matte black finish are the MPV’s one-piece design on the front grill and front bumper.

The “behind” is not left out as the rear bumper and the signature Isuzu spare wheel are also treated in matte black.

Meanwhile, painted in gloss black are the 15-inch, all-terrain alloy wheels. As added detail, the Crosswind Sportivo-X model wheels are decked with red stripes.

As for the Crosswind XT and XUV, both models get matte black side mirror caps as bonus.

Travel upgrades

The limited edition Crosswind Black Series also gets some interesting upgrades meant for travel-obsessed Filipinos.

Isuzu has modernized the Crosswind’s dashboard with a 7-inch touchscreen monitor carrying its own navigational features. Now your next travel destination is within reach.

Another surprise for Filipino travelers is the roof basket. Have this installed and bring more stuff to beach trips, vacations in the province, or even weekend picnics. The roof basket is capable of 30-kilogram of maximum load.

“Overtime, people are getting fond of traveling, that is why we included the navigation and roof basket to aid our loyal customers to their destinations,” Isuzu Philippines noted.

Diesel-powered engine

And in case we forget, the Isuzu Crosswind Black Series runs on diesel, loved by experienced drivers for its cost efficiency. The engine is also capable of 2,499 cc displacement, 85PS/3,900 rpm and 18.9kg-m/2,000 rpm. Its tank capacity is 55 liters.

Convinced? Get to own a Crosswind Black Series while it lasts. Choose between the Crosswind XT and Crosswind XUV, which both come in Obisidian Gray or Venetian Red; or the Sportivo X, which come in Cosmic Black, Ash Beige or Splash White.
