Visionary Progression Ford breaks ground at new Alabang dealership, opens revamped Pampanga showroom

Ulysses Ang - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Enjoying the ride of the all-new Explorer to the groundbreaking ceremony of the new Ford Alabang dealership is an eye-opener on how far the Blue Oval has gone in recent years. With a solid brand foundation consisting of four pillars: Quality, Green, Safe, and Smart—Ford has transformed itself into a truly competitively automotive company. However, a great brand and great products will only get you so far, and Ford knows that. They know that its dealerships form an integral part to the entire Ford experience, and one that they’re proudly bringing to the next level.

Alighting from the Explorer, the most noticeable thing about the future site of Ford Alabang is its size. Sitting along Alabang-Zapote Road, the new Ford Alabang is the Mall of Asia of dealerships. Sitting on a 4,000 sqm lot, it will have a total dealership floor space of 12,500 sqm with a showroom space enough for 25 cars and 80, yes 80, service bays. This easily makes Ford Alabang the biggest Ford showroom in the entire Philippines and one of the biggest in the entire ASEAN region.

Therefore, it’s no surprise that Matt Bradley, the new Ford ASEAN president and Randy Krieger, Ford Group Philippines president, were on hand as guests of honor at the official groundbreaking ceremony.

“The continued expansion of our Ford dealer network will help future drive our momentum in the Philippines, as well as help to support our overall, aggressive plans for the ASEAN region,” said Bradley. “In addition to the introduction of segment-leading One Ford vehicles, we are absolutely committed to further improving our customer experience, which includes customer convenience from an even wider network of nationwide coverage,” he added.

Dearborn Motors Incorporated, headed by Max Borromeo and his three children, Jonel, Paolo, and Andre, are bullish with their strengthened partnership with Ford. Dealer principal Paolo Borromeo, who operates four other existing Ford dealerships aside from Alabang (Ford Batangas, Ford Cavite, Ford Lipa, and Ford San Pablo), will soon add Ford Naga to their ever-growing portfolio.

“We are thrilled to start construction on the new Ford Alabang facility, which promises to be one of the largest facilities in the Philippines. Our investment in this new facility underscores our confidence in the One Ford plan, and will allow us to welcome even more customers into our showroom, providing them with our world-class experience, said Paolo Borromeo.

Meanwhile up north, the opening of the new Ford Pampanga marks the second Ford dealership to embark on its Brand@Retail II redesign. Located in San Jose, JASA, San Fernando, Pampanga, Ford Pampanga may not have the size and scale of Ford Alabang but with lot size of 4,852 sqm and a dealership floor space amounting to 3,100 sqm, it certainly isn’t small by anyone’s book. The new Ford Pampanga has a showroom capacity of 13 cars and a service capacity of 17 vehicles.

Based on the aforementioned four brand pillars of Quality, Green, Safe, and Smart, Brand@Retail II translates these qualities into a physical space. The new concept presents a layout and interface that delivers a new look and feel that is both comforting and customer-friendly.

“We are very proud to open the doors of our new Ford Pampanga dealership and cater to our growing customer base in central Luzon. We look forward to bringing even more class-leading Ford vehicles and quality service to our expanding base of loyal Ford customers,” said Levy P. Laus, Ford Pampanga’s dealer principal.

The groundbreaking of Ford Alabang and the opening of the new Ford Pampanga is a sure sign of Ford’s continued expansion in the Philippine market. This plan includes the opening of 12 additional dealerships in the next six months which will eventually bring their total number to 35. Hand-in-hand with a strong brand with over a century of experience and truly remarkable vehicles such as the Fiesta, Focus, Ranger, Mustang, and Explorer which served as the media shuttle, Ford remains unfazed in its aim to deliver world-class products and unmatched customer satisfaction.
