Home, heart, and harmony: How Garden City is bringing back connection to modern living

MANILA, Philippines — When it comes to the corporate world, there’s generally an unspoken rule to keep your family and professional life strictly separate. Always one to veer away from tradition, Golden Bay Landholdings Inc.’s Chief Operating Officer, Jardin Wong, recently hosted a thanksgiving forum on behalf of Golden Bay Landholdings Inc; his wife, his toddler, and his other relatives were in attendance. Home, Heart, and Harmony is the first of many more events from the boutique developer that aims to bring clients and partners together. It was held last August 15, 2026 at Golden Bay Fresh Seafood Restaurant in Pasay City.

“For us, Garden City is more than just having an investment; it’s about having a home that ticks all the boxes,” shares Wong. “When we conceptualized Garden City, we deliberately wanted a lifestyle that’s different from the usual ‘Live-Work-Play’ format. We still offer those, but we added two more elements: Relax and Connect.”

Existing Garden City investors and guests mingled over a miryenda buffet by Golden Bay Restaurant with live entertainment by Banda Kawayan. Multiple partner brands from a variety of industries also set up booths where guests were treated to numerous freebies. Throughout the event, raffle prizes were given away, ranging from coffee machines to air-conditioning units. The most awaited prizes were the discount vouchers, where multiple existing clients got P10,000 to P30,000 off their lump sum. One lucky Garden City homeowner took home the grand prize of P50,000 off their Garden City lump sum.

Iconic actress Camille Prats was the event’s guest keynote speaker, making it her third time as a guest speaker for the boutique developer. The actress and host shared her personal experience of being a working mom and a modern homemaker. Authentically sharing her lived experience as a widow in her 20’s, finding love again and remarrying, and mothering a mixed household. Her one-hour talk was packed with insights on life at home and was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience. “Wellness starts where you live, so you have to ask yourself, ‘What kind of life do we want to build here?’, she ponders. “You have to look for potential, not promises.”

Although she and her family now reside in a house, Prats shares that her time as a condo dweller contributed so much to how she manages her current household. “A home goes beyond financial investing; you are investing in your family, too.” She stresses the importance of the home as the physical setting that will nourish your family’s life, a safe space where everyone is welcome, and the canvas where core memories are made. “Buying a property is a major milestone, and it goes beyond aesthetics. You have to look at the thoughtful community design that will build a stronger familial connection,” the actress shares.

“We don’t really have developments in the Philippines that focus on the wellness side of things. Garden City’s amenities act as an anchor for the family life of residents,” Wong adds. As of writing, Garden City is set to offer over 16 lifestyle amenities, including an indoor gym, an outdoor gym, a lap pool, an adult pool, a kiddie pool, a theater, lounge, library, chi garden, a jogging path, a clubhouse, and even a pickleball court. There will also be a free EV shuttle ferrying residents to and from the nearest train station. Wong shares that he and the planners of the property looked at Singaporean properties and localized them to offer Garden City residents a world-class living experience.

A Panel Interview was also held where guests could raise their queries about their future homes and investment properties. The panel was composed of Giselle Bartolome (Garden City’s Sales Head), Rubieliza Albay (Garden City’s Engineering Head), actress Camille Prats, CEO of Archipelago Builders Corporation, Engineer Paulo Pe, and Golden Bay Land Holdings Jardin Wong.

Safety and stability were among the main concerns, ranging from potential termite infestations to the dreaded downpours that may cause flooding. Wong and Pe share that they are working tirelessly with the local government to treat the land of the property with sustainability and safety in mind. The soil has been pre-treated against termites, the property will be raised to keep floodwater from reaching it, solar panels will be installed, EV charging stations will be provided, and a holding tank for rainwater are just some of the sustainable features of Garden City.

Heart, Home, and Harmony would not be possible without the following home & design brands: Archipelago Builders, MSTM, LJ Industries, EVR Interior Design, Casa Bela, Daikin, Twin Realty, Brazen, Enviro, Unicon Wires & Cables (London Wires), Vesbo, Techglobal, and Ecotech. This also includes the following lifestyle brands: Royal Destination, Blooms and Greens, Ever Bilena, and Ground Zero. And the following food brands: Rebisco (Happy), Potato Giant, Apaw Coffee, Belcris Foods, Oishi, Asia Brewery (Summit), Enviro, and Marikina Food Corp. From the banking industry, present during the event were RCBC, EASTWEST, and In-Life Insurance. And lastly, the following service providers: FJ Security Agency, First Delta Security Agency, AP Cargo, 5G OutDoor Advertising, and PAGIBIG.

Over two of six towers are now sold, and the third tower is now open for pre-selling. If you want to take a peek at what Garden City has to offer, drop by their experience center at the Aspire Corporate Plaza in Pasay City, which is open daily for any inquiries. Garden City is targeted to start turnovers by the last quarter of 2028.
