Of faith and service

The Embassy of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes, and of Malta to the Republic of the Philippines, under the astute leadership of Ambassador of the Order of Malta to the Philippines Odelia Arroyo, hosted a cocktail reception at the Sage Bar of Shangri-La Makati, Manila to honor the Knights of Malta grand chancellor Baron Albrecht Freinherr von Boeselagar and grand hospitaller Dominqe, Prince de La Rochefaucauld-Montbel. The honorees were in Manila for the 8th Asia Pacific Conference of the Order of Malta, a sovereign state with diplomatic relations with 105 countries. In keeping with its charism, “Tuitio fidei et obsequium paupe- rum,” the Order of Malta has been giving free medicines and holding medical missions as well as disaster relief and rehabilitation operations and provides livelihood for our country’s impoverished sectors.
