China Bank wins 4th Anvil

MANILA, Philippines — China Banking Corp. won a Gold Anvil for its 2018 Annual Financial and Sustainability Report (AFSR) at the 55th Anvil Awards of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP). 

This is the China Bank’s fourth straight win at the Anvil Awards, previously bagging silver Anvils in the PR Tools-Publications category for its 2015, 2016, and 2017 reports.

China Bank’s 2018 AFSR, the bank’s lone entry to the Anvil Awards, provides stakeholders with a balanced view of how the bank uses its financial resources and expertise to be a sustainable business that creates sustainable value. 

The bank shifted to a combined financial and sustainability reporting with its 2017 report, adopting the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards.

Its 2018 AFSR report is its second such report that details China Bank’s financial and non-financial performance and contributions to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The Anvil Awards are given annually by PRSP to the best public-relations program, tools, and individual practitioners of the year.
