Metrobank, AXA offer personal insurance

-

MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co. (Metrobank) and AXA Philippines are giving free personal accident (PA) coverage of P100,000 for 12 months to individuals who open any Metrobank account from now until March 31, 2010.

AXA Philippines president and chief executive officer Rien Hermans said that protection from accidents is now more important with the calamities experienced by Filipinos.

“We want the ordinary Filipino and his family to experience how it is to be protected by a global leader in insurance like AXA. This is the perfect start for a prosperous 2010,” Hermans added.

A financial health check will be conducted for free in all Metrobank branches nationwide. This 10-minute financial health check gives individuals a quick overview of their financial condition and offers them solutions to their financial needs.

“The two best ways to protect oneself and one’s family is through prevention and planning,” he said.

The generous experience offers individuals to prevent any financial disaster from happening by planning properly for their current and future financial issues and needs. Both of these can be done through our free financial health check.

Government data show that the Philippines ranks among the top five countries frequented by natural calamities that result in injuries and loss of lives.

The same data also show that accidents and injuries are the fifth leading causes of death in the country, following heart diseases, vascular diseases such as stroke, malignant neoplasm or cancer, and pneumonia.
