MANILA, Philippines — Globe Telecom Inc. is planning to roll out a prepaid fiber offering in a bid to expand its foothold in internet connectivity in the country.

In a statement on Wednesday, the telco indicated that the new service will float an offer to consumers to pay P1,499 for the service. This amount would cover installation and seven days of unlimited internet.

Prospective subscribers can apply for this reloadable internet offering through the telco’s GlobeOne app, as Globe stressed consumers will not need to secure additional documentation.

Globe noted they would offer "No Lock-Up, Unli Pay-Per-Use" promos, and "Buy Now, Pay Later" that users could avail in GCash, the telco’s digital wallet platform.

Users could also choose from an array of unlimited internet promos, such as P299 for seven days, P549 for 15 days, and P999 for 30 days.

“The launch of GFiber Prepaid is a testament to our commitment to providing fiber internet connection that empowers everyone to seize new opportunities,” said Raymond Policarpio, vice president of Globe at Home Broadband Business.
