Dito hits 7 million subscribers

Richmond Mercurio - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Third telecommunications player Dito Telecommunity has reached seven million subscribers in just over a year since its commercial launch.

“As of March 14, close to a week after our first anniversary, we have hit seven-million active subscribers,” Dito chief administrative officer Adel Tamano said.

“We wish to express our gratitude to all those who have placed their trust in Dito and assure everyone of our continued efforts to provide world class connectivity to Filipinos wherever they may be,” he said.

Dito, a joint venture of the group of Davao-based businessman Dennis Uy and China Telecommunications, targets to end the year with around 12 million users.

As the telco continues to grow its operations, the company has also rolled out new features to level-up the experience of its subscribers.

Dito chief commercial officer Evelyn Jimenez said Dito Auto Pay and Dito Advance Pay are the company’s response to the ever-present need of Filipinos to have simple offers that give the best value for money, are hassle-free to acquire, and will elevate subscribers’ experience.

With the new Dito Advance Pay feature, subscribers can receive and pay for their promo package three months, six months or 12 months in advance, giving full control of their promo spending and usage for several months at a time.

The new Dito Auto Pay feature, on the other hand, allows subscribers to automatically renew and pay for their chosen package every month without worry.

When subscribers are about to reach their data cap or their package is about to expire, they will receive a notification to advise them that their package is being renewed.
