MANILA, Philippines — Mobile wallet GCash has teamed up with Hong Kong mobile remittance app TNG Wallet to provide a more accessible and convenient digital financial solution for overseas Filipino workers.

With the partnership, Filipino migrants in Hong Kong can now send money directly to GCash wallet via the TNG Wallet app.

“Together with TNG Wallet, we are very excited to introduce this digital remittance solution for OFWs in Hong Kong as we share the same goal of providing safe, fast, and seamless digital financial solutions for our customers,” GCash president and CEO Martha Sazon said.

GCash said that with its collaboration with TNG Wallet, OFWs in Hong Kong are assured that their loved ones will receive their remittance safely and in real time.

“GCash strives to continue its efforts to make OFWs’ lives easier and better wherever they are,” Sazon said.

It is continuously adding new leading remittance partners to the app’s network to enable GCash users to have broader access.

On the GCash app, OFWs can also pay for their SSS contributions via the Pay Bills feature.

They can also easily access financial services such as GInsure for affordable insurance packages, GInvest for investments in stocks and bonds, and GSave to manage their financial savings.

GCash ended 2021 with 55 million registered users, 4.5 million merchants and social sellers, 290 GLife merchant partners and around 174,000 cash-in, cash-out agents.

It is operated by Mynt, which is part of the portfolio companies of 917Ventures, the largest corporate incubator in the country wholly-owned by Ayala-led Globe Telecom Inc.
