SWAT Mobility, partners mark 80K rides milestone

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — SWAT Mobility, a Singapore-based smart mobility solutions provider and developer of the SWATBiz app, celebrated a milestone with partners Toyota Motor Philippines and Inspiro, marking 80,000 completed rides after the project was fully launched in April 2021.

The partnership between SWAT Mobility, Inspiro and Toyota began in January 2021, initially catering to one site located in Mandaluyong City.

“We have successfully launched operations in all five sites in April, noting 98 percent timeliness despite the usual traffic,” said Maria Theresa Busmente, SWAT Mobility country business head for the Philippines.

“Toyota Motor Philippines is our partner in managing the supply of vehicles, actively monitoring the operations, and providing technical and administrative support as necessary,” she said.

SWAT Mobility’s alliance with Toyota has created a process that specifically caters to the requirements set forth by Inspiro to measure efficiency based on timeliness of completed trips, number of vehicles utilized, and volume of passengers ferried at any given time.

“Our synergy with SWAT Mobility has allowed us to abstract the essence of the SWATBiz app to actual efficient trips completed that ultimately benefited the client, which is Inspiro,” Toyota Motor Philippines senior vice president Cristina Arevalo said.

To date, the five Inspiro offices that utilize the SWATBiz App are located in Quezon City, Makati City, Pasig City, Caloocan City and Mandaluyong City.

As a pioneer in the BPO industry, Inspiro is backed by a 30,000-strong work force in various modalities.

Ryan Laureano, chief administrative officer and general counsel of Inspiro said the technology the SWATBiz app provides does not only bring efficiency to the vehicle dispatch system, it also helps provide an additional layer of safety and health protocols which ultimately benefits everybody.

“While we have employees working from home, the majority are already reporting on site. Booking a ride with the SWATBiz App allows for an easier and safer commute especially for a night-shift employee,” Laureano said.
