PLDT Global teams up with UniPin

MANILA, Philippines — The international arm of fully integrated telco PLDT Inc. has teamed up with digital entertainment enabler UniPin for online game payments.

PLDT Global Corp. (PGC) and UniPin will provide online game vouchers and allow users to top up their accounts directly via PGC’s digital distribution platform called Vortex.

“We recognize the growing demand for services that cater to the emerging industry of esports globally, and our partnership with UniPin allows us to provide Filipinos worldwide with digital products and services made available through Vortex,” said Albert Villa-Real, senior vice president and chief commercial officer at PGC.

“With UniPin as a partner, our kababayans can easily access these e-vouchers and share them with their loved ones, so that they can continue to bond online no matter the distance,” Villa-Real said.

PGC said the partnership is aligned with PLDT’s focus program on sustainability of connecting everyone, everywhere.

UniPin, a leading digital entertainment provider for online games, serves seven million active game users across 30 countries.

Through its partnership with PGC, distribution partners and esports enthusiasts can access UniPin’s e-vouchers for online games at a discounted price.

PGC has also developed several solutions such as Free Bee to help Filipinos abroad conveniently connect to their families and loved ones back home.

Free Bee is a mobile app that provides users ways to call and send messages to their loved ones with or without the internet.
