MANILA, Philippines — Melco Resorts & Entertainment, the casino company of tycoon Lawrence Ho, received the responsible gaming accreditation RG Check for its portfolio of casinos in Macau and the Philippines.

Melco Resorts’ entire portfolio includes Altira Macau, City of Dreams Macau, Studio City and City of Dreams Manila.

Ho, chairman and CEO of Melco, welcomes the accreditation as he stressed their commitment to responsible gaming and safe experience for players.

“Responsible gaming continues to be at the core of our commitment to society as we continue to offer the highest standards of service whilst striving to ensure the provision of a safe and fair gaming experience for all our valued guests,” Ho said.

The accreditation, which is valid for three years, is designed to meet or exceed all existing responsible gaming regulatory requirements.

Accreditation is reviewed by a prestigious and independent panel of responsible gaming specialists.

“RG Check is an important tool for continuous improvement, helping operators manage risk and increase the effectiveness of their RG programming. RGC is proud to be able to support Melco’s efforts in player education, employee training and harm minimization with evidence-based best practices in areas of responsible gaming,” said Shelley White, CEO of Responsible Gambling Council.

In the Philippines, Melco Resorts operates and manages City of Dreams Manila, an integrated resort in the Entertainment City complex in Manila.

It also majority owns and operates Studio City, a cinematically-themed integrated resort in Cotai, Macau.

In Europe, the company is currently developing City of Dreams Mediterranean in the Republic of Cyprus, which is expected to be the largest and premier integrated destination resort in Europe.
