Fruitas to open 100 more stores

Iris Gonzales - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Fruitas Holdings Inc. said it is on track with its plan to open 100 stores by the end of the year.

It is expected to open 50 stores within the month, Fruitas said in a disclosure yesterday.

Within the next few weeks, Fruitas will open Soy & Bean community stores in the cities of Las Piñas and Marikina and its first franchised community store in Rizal.

Fruitas Holdings president and CEO Lester Yu said the company is expanding its product line, as well as its delivery channels.

“We will also be offering a wider selection of products to our customers and get closer to them.  As near-term risks from the pandemic remain, we will also further amplify the health benefits of our key products,” Yu said.

He said the pandemic has required the company to adapt to the demands of customers.

“We will continue to expand and enhance CocoDelivery.  Our community stores, which were conceptualized during these challenging times, now contribute approximately 10 percent of our revenues and we expect this to further increase moving forward,” Yu said.

Fruitas is using its community store network to expand its delivery service, making CocoDelivery available through its Soy & Bean community store in McArthur Highway, Angeles City, Pampanga to serve the city and neighboring towns.

Fruitas also launched its line of cold juices, the Fruitas Pure 100 percent Cold Pressed Juices made from fresh fruits and vegetables that contain high amounts of nutrients, vitamins and minerals.

At present, Fruitas has 1,068 stores across the country and over 20 brands in its portfolio which include Fruitas Fresh from Babot’s Farm, Buko Loco, Buko ni Fruitas, De Original Jamaican Pattie, Johnn Lemon, Juice Avenue, Black Pearl, Friends Fries, The Mango Farm, 7,107 Halo Halo Islands, Tea Rex, Kuxina, SHOU La Mien Hand-Pulled Noodles and Sabroso Lechon.
