Sun Life remains most trusted brand for life insurance in Philippines

MANILA, Philippines — Sun Life of Canada (Philippines) Inc. remains to be the Filipinos’ most trusted life insurance brand for Filipinos, according to the latest Campaign Asia survey of the Top 100 Brands in the Philippines.

Conducted between Feb. 21 and Mar. 19, 2020 by global information and insights provider Nielsen, the survey asked participants to name the best brand that comes to mind, where “best” means the one they trust the most or has the best reputation in its category. Sun Life was the only life insurance company to land in the list, ranking 65th among various brand categories including alcohol; apparel and accessories; automotive; beverage; consumer electronics; courier services; financial services; food; home appliances; household and personal care; media and telecommunications; restaurants; retail; sports; and transport, travel, and leisure.

The recognition follows the Insurance Commission’s earlier announcement that Sun Life remains the No. 1 life insurance company in the Philippines, after topping the industry in terms of premium income, new business annual premium equivalent and net income for 2019.
