As Go Negosyo marks its 15th year, we have prepared an exciting lineup of events this Nov. 23 to 27. Through this weeklong celebration, we recognize the thriving community that we have built over the years and aim to spark meaningful conversations on how to create a sustainable future for MSMEs.

On Nov. 23, we kick off with an MSME conference where international speakers and captains of industry will impart valuable lessons to micro and small entrepreneurs. Capt. Raghu Raman of Reliance Industries will join us from India to share how he is leading the $200 billion conglomerate and how they’re staying competitive in a dynamic environment.

With over 25 years of leadership experience in the military and private sector, Capt. Raman teaches entrepreneurs how to protect and future-proof their business against evolving security and tech risks.

We will also hear from Anthony Tan, co-founder of Grab, and Engr. Dado Banatao, managing director of Tallwood Venture Capital, as part of a special panel aptly called “Disrupting the World.”

From a ride hailing company in 2012, Grab has grown into a $14 billion regional super app, operating across different verticals. Tan will share how MSMEs can unlock countless opportunities in the digital economy using lessons from Grab’s own journey.

On the other hand, Dado is a tech visionary and engineering genius who invented the PC chipset and Windows graphic accelerator which is found in nearly all personal computers. For his talk, he will explain the importance of innovation and creativity in business sustainability.

Tony Fernandes, group CEO of AirAsia, will also join us from Malaysia to share lessons in leadership under crisis. As the airline industry suffers heavy losses due to the pandemic and strict travel restrictions, Fernandes will outline AirAsia’s post-pandemic blueprint and will share his thoughts on the recovery of the airline and tourism industries.

Fernandes will be joined by Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, Tessie Sy-Coson, and Enrique Razon in our CEO forum. Former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez will join as keynote speakers for our MSME Conference that will be moderated by veteran journalists Karen Davila and Rico Hizon.

On Nov. 24, we will host an agri conference and women conference in the morning and afternoon, respectively. The agri conference will outline opportunities in agribusiness and emphasize its essential role in the post-pandemic recovery. It will feature Agriculture Sec. William Dar, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, Lina Sarmiento of TESDA, and Ginggay Hontiveros-Malvar of Go Negosyo. To discuss the future of agriculture, we have Arvind Narula of Urmatt Group (Thailand); Ka Yi Ling of Shiok Meats (Singapore); Elizabeth Hernandez of Corteva Agriscience, and Cherrie Atilano, DA food security ambassador.

Raman will join the roundtable discussion with Robert Yap of ABAC Singapore, Munir Majid of ABAC Malaysia, U Moe Kyaw of ABAC Myanmar, and George Barcelon of ABAC Philippines. The session will be moderated by Professor Annie Koh of the Singapore Management University.

On Nov. 26, we will host Sign Up 2020, which seeks to build on the success of the 2019 mobile app and expo summit. We will have Santitarn Sathirathai of SEA Group and Astrid Tuminez of Utah Valley University for a fireside chat on the best digital strategies.
