MANILA, Philippines — PLDT wireless subsidiary Smart Communications Inc. has teamed up with e-commerce platform Shopee to provide an easy way for subscribers to pay their postpaid bill.

Using ShopeePay, Smart subscribers can now pay their bills safely wherever they are, adding to the many simple ways customers are able to enjoy a worry-free postpaid experience.

Subscribers of Smart Bro Postpaid and Sun Postpaid can also use ShopeePay to pay their monthly bills.

As an official mobile wallet regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, ShopeePay enables users to quickly and securely top up funds and use this to pay their monthly postpaid bill within the Shopee app.

“Aside from utter convenience and safety, paying your Smart postpaid bill via ShopeePay is also rewarding. It allows users to redeem Shopee coins, which they can then use to pay for items bought within the platform,” Smart said.

Once the ShopeePay wallet has been topped up, a Smart postpaid subscriber can pay bills by simply going to “load, bills & eServices,” tap “postpaid mobile” and select Smart or Sun as the biller.

ShopeePay is an integrated mobile wallet that offers users easy access to digital payment services.

Launched in 2015, ShopeePay enables a seamless shopping experience by allowing users to make online payments on Shopee, top up their wallets, transfer and withdraw funds, and make payments offline at thousands of merchants.

PLDT and Smart subscribers can also use digital payments app PayMaya to pay their Smart postpaid bill or buy load for their devices. Smart postpaid customers can also pay their bills via the unique Smart Pay Express Link in their monthly billing SMS.

Smart is rolling out its commercial 5G service to key cities in Visayas and Mindanao after it launched its 5G service commercially in July.
