Globe boosts public WiFi in Cebu, Davao

MANILA, Philippines — Globe Telecom Inc. has expanded the reach of its public WiFi service across key sites in Cebu and Davao to serve the connectivity needs of more people in these areas.

It is providing free internet connectivity in key Davao locations such as hospitals, government offices, and airports.

Through GoWiFi, users can enjoy  high-speed internet in Davao Doctors Hospital, Davao Limso Hospital, Southern Philippines Medical Center, Davao Medical School Foundation Inc., and San Pedro Hospital of Davao City Inc.

GoWiFi has also been made available to government offices such as the PhilHealth Office Davao, Land Transportation Office-Davao, Land Transportation Office-Tagum, and Tagum City Hall, as well as in the Davao International Airport.

In Cebu, hospitals including Cebu City Medical Center, Cebu Community Hospital, Cebu Doctors Hospital, and Chong Hua Hospital Mandaue are now powered with GoWiFi, as well as supermarkets like Shopwise Cebu Basak and Shopwise Express Cebu Basak.

Globe said travellers and commuters can also enjoy free internet connection at Mactan-Cebu International Airport and Bogo Bus Terminal.

“GoWiFi has been continuously expanding its services to provide customers with better WiFi experience anytime and anywhere,” Globe said.

GoWiFi is the largest WiFi service in the country, available in over 2,700 sites nationwide.

Globe said users can expect a connection with high speeds of up to 100Mbps, depending on the location.
