Ateneo students top JPMorgan Chase’s corporate case tilt
MANILA, Philippines — Three students from the Ateneo John Gokongwei School of Management bagged first place in the national round of the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Case Competition held online last June 19.
Team Wolf Dolphins consists of sophomore management engineering students Reich Tiamson, Leila Clemente and Noel Fuentes.
During the preliminary round of the competition, they bested teams from various universities including Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University and University of the Philippines- Diliman in the creation of a digital transformation strategy for a fictional medium sized-bank struggling with effectively scaling up into large-scale trade executions.
In the national round of the competition, the team presented an operational restructure and financial recovery plan of a fictional bank failing in the COVID pandemic to a judging board, comprised of Mike Knowles (executive director of JPMC Corporate Investment Banking Philippines), Manish Shah (executive director of JPMC Asset and Wealth Management Operations Philippines) and Raoul Teh (CEO of JPMorgan Chase Philippines), coming out on top over senior teams from Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University.
