MANILA, Philippines — Beneficiaries of the government’s Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) will continue to receive their cash grants to help them cope with the impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19 pandemic, Land Bank of the Philippines said yesterday.

In a statement, Landbank assured almost 2.53 million conditional cash transfer (CCT) beneficiaries under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) 4Ps that their cash grants will be released on March 24, 26 and 28.

The bank said the benefits would be credited to their Landbank cash cards which may be used for cashless purchases of groceries and medicines through point-of-sale (POS) machines at cashiers or check-out counters.

Earlier, Landbank assured the public that it will continue its banking operations, with select branches in the NCR, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao to remain open.

However, the bank still urged its clients to utilize the bank’s electronic and digital platforms, instead of going to branches, for their banking needs while the country is under a state of calamity due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Landbank president and chief executive officer Cecilia Borromeo encourages the use of the Landbank debit card and credit card to make cashless payments at merchants accepting Visa and Mastercard.

“Likewise, the general public is urged to utilize Landbank’s 2,196 ATMs and 159 cash deposit machines nationwide as of March 15, including online and electronic channels to access secure and convenient banking services,” the bank said.

These electronic channels include the Landbank mobile banking app, iAccess, WeAccess, Electronic Tax Payment System and Phone Access, which enable clients to view their account balance and transaction history, and transfer funds, among others.

Clients may also use the bank’s Link.Biz Portal to pay for products and services from 700-enrolled private merchants and government institutions.

Landbank said fees for fund transfer to other banks via InstaPay and PESONet have also been waived until April 30.
