Megaworld launches new condo in Manila

MANILA, Philippines — Andrew Tan-led Megaworld Corp. is hitching a ride on the growing business within the San Lazaro Tourism and Business Park in Sta. Cruz, Manila.

The company is launching a new residential condominium development in the business district, which is within close accessibility to Manila’s University Belt as well as hospitals.

Megaworld is expected to generate P5.2 billion in sales from this new residential project, the 34-story Kingsquare Residence which will be completed in 2024.

The new development will offer 961 units, with units ranging from studio with a size of up to 31 square meters; one-bedroom with a size of up to 46 sqm; and two-bedroom units with a size of up to 61 sqm.

All units have their own balconies and are ready to be combined to form three to four bedrooms for big families.

Megaworld Manila first vice president for sales and marketing Wilson Sy said the new residential development is targeting students, teachers, doctors and other professionals, including families who have kids studying within the area.

“It is very close to schools and universities, hospitals, and soon, a mall that will have a direct connection for residents,” Sy said.

Amenities include both adult and kiddie pools with a pool deck, children’s playground, function hall, fitness center, and study room with WiFi facilities.

Kingsquare Residence will also be in close proximity to some popular educational institutions such as University of Sto. Tomas, University of the East, Far Eastern University, San Beda University, Mapua Institute of Technology and Centro Escolar University, among others.

Some of Manila’s finest Chinese schools are also nearby. These include Chiang Kai Shek College, Hope Christian School, St. Stephen High School and Philippine Cultural High School.

Also within the area are some medical and health facilities like clinics and hospitals such as UST Hospital, Chinese General Hospital and the Metropolitan Medical Center.

It is also close to major transport hubs such as the LRT 1 Tayuman and Blumentritt stations, as well as the Philippine National Railways (PNR) Blumentritt station.

“Everything is just within easy reach, whether you want to go north or south. It is also near downtown Manila via Rizal Avenue and Lacson Avenue,” Sy said.
