MANILA, Philippines — Ayala-owned FamilyDOC continues to expand to meet its goal of having 100 clinics by 2020.

FamilyDOC will soon open in Sampaloc, Manila its 70th and biggest clinic. It is a member of Ayala Healthcare Holdings Inc. (AC Health).

The Sampaloc branch follows the opening of its Juan Luna, Tondo clinic last September.

AC Health president and chief executive officer Paolo Borromeo said the company is eager to expand FamilyDOC in more key areas in central Metro Manila.

“We’ve been extremely encouraged by the positive feedback from our patients, many of whom have become our regular customers, returning about two to three times in a year. This is a big improvement, considering that most Filipinos see a doctor only once every two years. We’re excited to finally offer our services in the heart of Manila,” Borromeo said.

To date, FamilyDOC has served over 450,000 unique patients since it opened in December 2015, said FamilyDOC general manager Paul Darroca.

“Our goal is to be the go-to primary healthcare provider for every Filipino. Since our first two clinics opened in December 2015, we’ve focused on growing our network because we know that there is a strong need for more accessible healthcare options in the community,” Darroca said.

At present, FamilyDOC has over 140 doctors who are completing their family medicine specialty under its accredited residency program, the largest program in the country.

It also employs over 460 allied health professionals including nurses, pharmacists, rad techs, and med techs.

FamilyDOC, the largest chain of retail clinics in the country, aims to make healthcare more accessible and affordable for more Filipinos, with a strong focus on promoting primary and preventive healthcare.

At present, its clinics are located in Laguna, Cavite, Parañaque, Las Pinas, Taguig, Pasig, Pateros, Quezon City, Marikina, Rizal, Caloocan, Valenzuela, and Manila.
