JAKARTA, Indonesia (As released) — The Philippine Business Club Indonesia and the University of Asia and the Pacific held a forum on the Philippines related to the ASEAN Economic Community in Jakarta.

The talk last April 26 at the Philippine Embassy in the Indonesian capital was a "timely and engaging forum providing a midterm update on the economic community blueprint for 2025," the Department of Foreign Affairs said in a news release.

The highlights of the talk included a presentation on the Philippines in ASEAN Economic Community 2025 by economist Bernardo Villegas of the University of Asia and the Pacific.

Julia Tijaja, director of the ASEAN Integration Monitoring Directorate, and Gilbert Camasura of PT Asia Select Indonesia offered responses to Villegas' presentation.

It was followed by an open discussion.
