MANILA, Philippines — A number of flights were grounded on April 22, after a magnitude 6.1 earthquake was felt in some parts of Luzon.

The Civil Aviation Aurhority of the Philippines reported that there was broken glass at Clark International Airport's control tower.

The Department of Transportation said the tower is not being utilized as it is undergoing damage assessment.

CIA's runway did not sustain any damage but some flights were grounded for safety reasons. The flights affected were international and domestic flights of Cebu Pacific.

Meanwhile, according to Manila International Airport Authority, there was no significant damage to the runway of Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
