MANILA, Philippines — A Singapore-based tech startup on Thursday launched a ride-sharing service that would allow those “whose cost of time is expensive” to book a helicopter flight at their fingertips and beat Metro Manila’s infamous traffic gridlock.

Booking of helicopter rides through Ascent Flights will be available starting April 8 for routes within Manila and to nearby areas.

Services like luggage transport and first and last mile transport are also available on Ascent Flights.

Below is the list of available routes and their corresponding prices:

According to a report from Bloomberg, Ascent Flights also plans to expand its business to Bangkok, Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur in 2020, and then cities in China and Japan. — Ian Nicolas Cigaral with reports from BusinessWorld
