SINGAPORE – Lazada, Southeast Asia’s biggest e-commerce platform, has launched new tools to help brands and sellers in the region achieve higher sales and better engage with customers.

Speaking at Lazada’s LazMall Brands Future Forum held yesterday, Lazada Group chief executive officer Pierre Poignant said the platform is offering new tools dubbed as “super solutions” to address three pain points brands and sellers face such as branding, marketing and sales.

“No seller is too small to aspire, and no brand is too big to be a Super eBusiness. That is why we are thrilled to roll out super solutions to help our brands and sellers become more nimble in digitizing their businesses and better reach customers,” he said.

Among the new tools being offered to brands and sellers is a series of ‘Super’ campaigns which sellers on LazMall can join to further push their brand and better engage with customers.

LazMall, a virtual mall within the Lazada platform linking customers to international and local brands as well as authorized distributors, offers premium shopping experience by selling only 100 percent authentic products, 15-day hassle-free return, and next-day delivery.

Also part of the new super tools being made available by Lazada are a marketing solutions package and business advisor dashboard which can help bring more traffic to brands’ storefronts, as well as provide near real-time information to enable faster decisions to sell more effectively and efficiently.

In addition, Lazada is now offering brands and sellers a way to customize their storefronts on the platform through new technology tool Store Builder.

To help brands gain higher engagement with customers, Lazada is making in-app live streaming, news feed and in-app consumer games to brands as well.

Through the new tools, Lazada wants to make it easier for brands and sellers to set up stores on LazMall.

“Since the launch of LazMall in 2018, we have seen tremendous growth among our key pioneer brand partners. We want to extend the benefits of LazMall to even more brands and sellers to elevate their e-commerce operations,” Lazada Group president Jing Yin said.

By helping both big and small businesses grow, Lazada also benefits by having a sustainable and successful e-commerce platform as it gets commission for every transaction made with LazMall brands or sellers on the platform.

In the Philippines, Yin said Lazada has seen success with the launch of LazMall as the country is among those posting the fastest growth.

“Philippines is one of the fastest growing country of our businesses because we’re seeing a reflection of young entrepreneurs empowered through the tools and new way of working, empowered to unlock lots of the opportunity,” he said.

The new tools were launched in line with the celebration of Lazada’s seventh anniversary on March 27, to enable brands and sellers to take advantage of the e-commerce boom in Southeast Asia.

As part of the celebration of Lazada’s seventh birthday, the platform is also hosting a first-of-its-kind concert called “Super Party” featuring British pop star Dua Lipa and other top artists from Southeast Asia in Jakarta on March 26, at 8 p.m (Jakarta time).

On March 27, Lazada will be holding a birthday shopping event which would bring online shopping to a higher level by allowing customers to select play games in the app to redeem vouchers and get other attractive deals.
