MANILA, Philippines — Grab Philippines is further bolstering its food delivery service offering as it enters into a strategic partnership with McDonald’s Philippines.

Through the partnership, GrabFood will strengthen McDonald’s delivery service with additional online storefronts, access to millions of Grab users, and an extended pool of delivery-partners.

GrabFood becomes McDonald’s Philippines first and only end-to-end food delivery app partner with a third-party delivery fleet.

Starting last week, GrabFood’s extensive delivery fleet is able to deliver McDonalds’ meals from over 60 stores in Metro Manila and Metro Cebu.

“As the only everyday super app for Filipinos, our mission is to use technology to help improve the lives of both our consumers and partners. With food delivery as one of our most important business focuses for 2019, we will continue to bring innovative and rewarding food experiences to our consumers, while helping our partners reap the benefits of participating in the Philippines’ digital economy,” Grab Philippines president Brian Cu said.

Margot Torres, managing director of McDonald’s Philippines, said  the fastfood giant is putting its trust on GrabFood as its partner to provide a frictionless experience for customers, leveraging digital solutions to provide modern-day convenience.

“Through this partnership, we’re excited to offer our customers another convenient way to access our food online. We are confident that GrabFood can help bring McDonald’s closer to time-starved consumers,” Torres said.

Sharing the same mission of leveraging technology to serve the daily food needs of highly social and digital-savvy FIlipinos, Grab said GrabFood and McDonald’s look forward to providing more accessible and convenient solutions to more consumers.

In just six months after its beta launch in Manila, GrabFood has emerged as the leading online food delivery service in the country.

With over 5,000 active restaurants in Manila and Cebu, GrabFood provides the widest restaurant selection to cater to any cuisine or price point preference.

GrabFood is operating in 13 cities in the Philippines, which include BGC, Makati, Pasig, San Juan, Mandaluyong, Quezon City, Manila, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Pasay, Marikina, Cebu, and Mandaue.

This year, Grab intends to solidify its position as the only everyday app in the Philippines following the introduction of more services beyond transport in the past years.
