How to optimize tax savings for real estate transactions

MANILA, Philippines — Learn the trade secrets on how to save millions of pesos on relevant taxes in all real estate transactions as the Center for Global Best Practices will host a special program titled, “Optimizing Tax Savings for Real Estate Transactions” to be held on Feb. 1, 2019 at the Manila Marriott Hotel, Pasay City.

 There are various tax avoidance schemes available under the law that would allow taxpayers, particularly those engaged in real estate business such as real estate developers, contractors, buyers, sellers, brokers, lessors and owners of real property, to reduce tax liabilities without violating Tax Code provisions. This comprehensive program will discuss the legally permissible means of avoiding taxes in real estate transactions. The lecture will also include updates, examples, new laws, regulations and specific situations that will be discussed thoroughly to guide participants in executing their plans or solving their tax problems and issues effectively.

This program will feature Atty. Francisco Gonzales, a partner at Ong Meneses Gonzales & Gupit Law Offices where he specializes in tax practice. He is a faculty member at the Ateneo Law School since 1997 and a bar review lecturer at the same school since 2002. He served as the executive director of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants from July 2006 until June 2010. He is an active practitioner both as an accountant and lawyer helping many multinationals and SMEs minimize their tax liabilities and provide remedies and solutions to all types of business and tax-related issues.

Registration is open to the general public. This program is accredited by the Professional Regulations Commission. Accountants attending this program will earn CPD credit units. CGBP is also accredited by the Civil Service Commission. Attendees from the government can earn points for their career advancement and is exempted from the P2,000 limit when attending training conducted by the private sector based on DBM Circular 563 dated April 22, 2016.
