PAL announces flights to Phnom Penh, Hanoi, New Delhi in 2019
MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Airlines on Tuesday announced new, non-stop flights from Manila to three Asian destinations in 2019.
At a press conference, PAL president and chief operating officer Jimmy Bautista said the flag carrier will fly to Phnom Penh, New Delhi and Hanoi this year amid growing demand for air travel.
PAL will start serving flights from Manila to Hanoi (four times weekly) and Phnom Penh (five times weekly) starting March 31.
Meanwhile, the airline will fly from the Philippine capital to New Delhi four times weekly this year. Last December, PAL said it would revive its flights to India within the first quarter of 2019, nearly six years since it decided to stop flying to the Asian destination.
PAL previously operated non-stop flights to Delhi and one-stop services via Bangkok, but suspended the flights in 2011 and 2013, respectively, as the Manila to Delhi market was still considered too small at that time. — Ian Nicolas Cigaral
